Writing this the night of Christmas eve and Christmas as a family tradition, we opened our gifts. Yes, we are weird like that. I got The Black Flamingo by Dean Atta, Land of the Cranes by Aida Salazar, The Book of Pride: LGBTQ Heroes Who Changed the World by Mason Funk and His Grandfather’s Watch by N.R. Walker.

Reading-wise, I was surprised that I rated my thrillers higher on average than my holiday/contemporary reads. From my taste view, it tends to be the opposite. I read 623 books which is less than last year, but it’s still good. The largest novel I read this year was To Paradise by Hanya Yanagihara, at 720 pages. Unlike previous years I have no clue what is being released. One more thing I still have to do.

In terms of my life, I don’t know what’s up with housing or when we can move. The thing that is driving me nuts is that I haven’t seen the place. My blog content was all over the place, and the research I had planned for posts had to be dropped. Self-care won over the content. In return, I wrote some thoughts, feelings and stuff I’m going through, even if it was scary. I’m not sure if I posted too much this month, so I would like your opinion.

      1. No one should be ashamed of who they are. Hopefully, you blog can help you overcome those feelings. It’s hard for everyone, but for some more than others. The world can be a nasty place, no doubt about that. Just keep going. That’s all any of us can do. Have a nice New Year. 🙂
