Six Fun Facts on Space

I can’t believe September is over. Where did the time go? Today marks the start of the Trick-or-Treatathon, and I have one quarter of my TBR, but there are 50 prompts, and for most, I can complete them with books I already own on my Kindle. On another note, I’m happy to say that about half of the books I read were self-published. One of the most significant reader issues I have right now is that I keep seeing free novels I want to read, and I can say no to everything apart from books. The silver lining of being in pain is that I can listen to one or two books a day.

I would be lying if I told you that blogging and looking at emails weren’t tricky, but I’m still trying. If you have a pair of free hands, I could use a pair, jokes aside. I have seen my specialist, and we’ll try injections in the muscles, so maybe they will behave. My hopes aren’t high since it feels like nerve pain, but I’m not a doctor. The interesting thing is that I have two laptops, one for work and the other for my personal life. The models are very similar, but one keyboard is way more comfortable to type on. Weren’t keyboards standard?

October is low-key special to me since, in October, it’s when I started hormones four years ago, which, for some in the trans community, is a huge milestone. I get asked what the best changes are, and people are disappointed that I say mental health, and I believe that if my mental health didn’t get better, the physical ones would have been for anything. I’m not saying that I don’t struggle with mental health, but it has less to do with gender.

  1. This is such a thoughtful and heartfelt reflection! 🌟

I really appreciate how candidly you share your reading journey, from tackling your TBR and enjoying self-published works to navigating the allure of free novels—your honesty makes it relatable to any avid reader. I also admire your openness about managing pain, medical appointments, and the small but meaningful victories in daily life, like finding a keyboard that feels just right or listening to books to lift your spirits.

  2. I’m sorry you’re in pain. I wonder if you could get a special computer key board to plug into your computer that would make it easier for you to type. It might be possible. I hope all of your computer problems have been fixed.
