This might sound native, but I was like a kid in the candy store when I found … Continue reading First Lines Fridays 23 →

Top Ten Tuesday/ Fall Covers

I won’t lie to you. I have a few dilemmas when it comes to authors, like which pronouns to use for everyone. I did an oops until I read The Last Time I Lied; I thought Riley Sager was a woman, but then I saw the author photo, and I realised how wrong I was. … Continue reading Top Ten Tuesday/ Fall Covers →

Come Unhaul/Review Books With Me Part 1

A few weeks ago, in a post, I asked if you'd like to see my book unhaul. Sarah commented that they would enjoy that (the issue now is I can’t remember which Sarah it was because I went to look for that comment and can’t find it. I picked 20, which I recently read and … Continue reading Come Unhaul/Review Books With Me Part 1 →

My reading is questionable, and yeah, if anyone cares, I have started the Kristin Hannah books with The Great Alone. It’s not going as I hoped. I finished it, and I have a better feel for Home Front, but we will see; the issue is that I’m a character-driven reader, not a plot reader. I … Continue reading First Lines Fridays 22 →

First Lines Fridays 21

So I asked ChatGPT to recommend a thriller, and it suggested The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides. I wonder how it picked that one, because something tells me it wasn’t as random as I'd hoped. Anyway, it’s a novel I have been wanting to read, so I did. I wanted it to be twisted, as … Continue reading First Lines Fridays 21 →

Top Five Wednesday/ Twisted Thrillers

I was going to do my five wishes of an author, but I thought of this list at midnight, wrote nothing down, and I forgot half of it, so that will be for another day. I got a few thrillers for the readathon I’m taking part in. I still have one to read, but here … Continue reading Top Five Wednesday/ Twisted Thrillers →
