The dilemma for today is whether to look at emails or write a post. Writing a post wins at the moment, even if I might have to stay late to look at everybody’s posts and not get overwhelmed, which isn’t easy for me. As I said in my personal life goals for 2025, I did plan to do life and blogging together, but the life one got too long since I ranted way too much to do them together. Before I share what I aim to do writing-wise, here are my thoughts on AI writing, which, let’s face it, is taking place all over.
The idea that an author can write a whole novel with AI is upsetting because, as a reader, I would be reading stuff that a robot thinks sells the most. After all, the world runs on money, right? I don’t think I will ever use AI to write a blog post, but I think people will catch on quite quickly, especially since I have quite a few writing errors. In a way, it makes content my own as long as people can understand me. The thing I might use it is to give me writing prompts to which I can add my ideas on to.
Try to comment more on other people’s content.
I try to like 99.9% of the posts I get in my email, but I rarely comment on stuff, something that I have been putting in more effort in December, and it’s something I plan to carry over this year.
Ask to collaborate with more people.
Hear me out. I think there are some awesome creators in the blogging community who I would love to work with, but I fear that when they see my content, they will think it’s not entirely up to part with theirs, which I know it isn’t the right mindset hence why I’m trying to change it.
Speak up to WordPress.
I wrote countless posts sharing my opinion on WordPress or the changes they made, which, more often than not, I ended up hating. I don’t write to them because I assume they won’t get back to me. However, I won’t get my answer unless I try to reach out.
Try to care less regarding the ad side of blogging.
In the last few months, I have been doing better at this, mainly because I didn’t have a laptop for a bit, and the app doesn’t show you that section, or I haven’t found it yet. Plus, I don’t think it’s a good indicator of checking blog traffic-wise.
Now, I’m curious about two things. If you don’t blog daily, is there a considerable rise in views when you do post? I look at posts from email, and in some cases, it automatically takes me to the reader section. Are views still getting counted like that? I hope they are, but if they aren’t, it’s something worth talking to WordPress about.

I’m trying to be better about commenting this year, too!

You are not alone in hating some of the changes WP makes. I don’t know why they can’t leave things alone, but apparently they can’t.

These are good blogging resolutions imo. Commenting more on posts is a difficult one, but I like you am trying. I don’t post as regularly as I used to and yes, there is a spike in the number of people reading when I do post. I’ve stopped checking my stats though. It’s a bit like Instagram to me 😅. Once you check you can’t stop! But I’m sure most people here are able to check their stats and not get caught in some loop 😂. Nice post btw.
