Life Goals For 2026

Look at me, doing my personal goals for 2026 just because I don’t want to review a book I don’t have good things to say about. Anyway, 2025 was challenging health-wise, and I’m lucky to have the thick skin I do, which doesn’t mean no one or nothing can hurt me, but it does protect me a bit more. I was told by a fellow wheelchair user is that we need to be stubborn to live in a world that wasn’t made for us. The quote I picked for today: “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

  • Listen to my body

This is core, yet I don’t do it or don’t do it enough, which makes me pay the price at some point.

  • Try not to beat myself so much

This is way easier said than done because I worry so much about how the words I say or write can hurt others, but when it comes to the things I say about myself, there are no limits.

  • Try to do more activism

This one doesn’t come easy, even though I’ve done it since childhood; I used to do it out of need because no one my age did, and I knew I had to if I was to find a way forward.

  • Give my mental health a chance to recover

In 2025, a lot of things happened to us all, all at once, so I didn’t have time to process, let alone recover.

  • Reaching out to people more

This is the trickiest one for me to make happen, since I find it pretty hard, since I know that people are busy, and I don’t want to bother or disturb them anyway, but on the other hand, they won’t know they can count on me if I don’t reach out.
