Can you imagine that there are people who steal as a job? In Molly Miranda: Thief for Hire (Molly Miranda #1) by Jillianne Hamilton, we meet Molly who ‘acquires’ things for rich people for a living while seeing the world. However, this is trouble in paradise when her agent forced her to add a team player while doing a gig for her business services. Before I forget Molly, Miranda reminds in a female Robinhood.
Feelings for her roommate and blackmailer, she gets mixed feelings can her crush love her or will he reject her when she tells him the truth about what she does for a living? It made think and realise that people can like or dislike a person based on what job they work to earn money. To be honest, it makes me sad when I think that in today’s society, we measure how good or kind a person, depending on how much money they make.
This book is sassy and funny, but some parts read a bit slow for my taste and needed and waited for more suspense and plot twists to keep me engaged and interested about what’s going on in the story. I gave In Molly Miranda: Thief for Hire (Molly Miranda #1) by Jillianne Hamilton a rating of three out of five stars.
