The Autumn Book Tag

In the background, I have episode one of the show Virgins, and I’m trying to figure out how much of it is reality vs staged right now. Right now, I think it is 100% staged, but if you’ve watched this show and think I’m wrong, let me know. I’m still feeling off, so I bit the bullet and took the medication, so I hope it’s ok for me to do a book tag since that’s what I can manage today. The tricky part when doing tags for me lately has been finding the original creator, which I couldn’t truly find for this one. I found it on Living for Literature.

Hot Chocolate: What is your comfort book?

It used to be novels like Fake Around and Find Out by S.M. Shade (which, by the way, is still on my TBR), a funny rom-com, but right now I would go with No Place on Earth by Andrea Beatriz Arango, a middle grade by an author I love and know.

Pumpkin Carving: What is your favourite creative outlet?

Writing based on a song or a saying 😊

Falling Leaves: Changes that appear bad but you secretly love?

When the majority of people aren’t fond of a book, but I love it, like A Prison Diary Series by Jeffrey Archer. I just found out he died a few days ago.

Pumpkin Spiced Latte: Something you love that others tend to judge?

This isn’t bookish, but my family really hated that I love true-crime shows. I love the idea of people getting justice, dead or alive.

Bonfire Night: What makes you explode with joy?

A character I can relate to: I love when a character has Cerebral Palsy (which is my condition).

Fright Night: Scary Book or Film.

A book, all the way, since I get hooked way more. Without having to keep turning my head away.

Halloween Candy: favourite candy to eat.

Peanut butter cups, but the ones my sister used to make with dates and dark chocolate.

Scarves: your autumn must have accessory.

I don’t have one, but scarves are my pet peeve; I don’t like things around my neck.

Fire: a book or film that burns your soul.

The Purple Heart for a movie and for a book: The Women by Kristin Hannah.

Toffee Apple: a book or film that seems one thing but is different on the inside.

This one: I went to a bookshop, and they marked it as a 5-star bestseller, but it’s the first book I’ve ever DNF’d.

I would have loved to tag some people, but by the time this is up, I will be out for dinner.
