Our Eurovision happened a few days ago, but unless my sister is with us, since she has the funniest commentary. The short clips I managed to watch, I was confused, to be honest, because I couldn’t understand what they were trying to sing or if it was in English or Maltese, which says a lot, considering I’m fluent in both languages.
I have to say that I haven’t listened to the song that won this year. All I know is that Aidan’s song won, but I don’t even know the title of the song, so Google is my friend today. From having listened to his music in the past, I know he loves to put Maltese phrases in his lyrics, which, as I said, was an issue in my opinion this year. Okay, the title seems to be “Bella”, which in Italian means beautiful, so I’m assuming we have a love song here. Okay, now that I heard the song, what I feared happened. It starts with typical lyrics, then we get one sentence half in Italian, English and Maltese. Hopefully, not many people have the same thoughts.
