Blogging & Writing Goals For 2026

Some people set their goals for the year in one huge list, but for me, something like that wouldn’t work. If I want to succeed at some of them, I need to break them down into bite-sized pieces, so I don’t fail from the get-go. So I divided them into three lists. Blog content and writing, the ones for my daily life, and the ones that people want the most are my bookish goals. To each list, I’m adding a quote about success. Here’s the one I picked for today: Success is a pile of failure that you are standing on—a quote by Dave Ramsey.

My Blogging Goals:

  • Post whatever you want.

One of my greatest blogging stresses is what to blog, and it’s not because I don’t have content ideas, but I worry it’s not going to be enjoyed.

  • The 3,000 followers dilemma.

For the last three years, I have been so close to 3,000 followers, stuck at 50 away, I gain one, and the next I lose two.

  • Take care of my blog storage.

This is a major issue for me as a blogger, and the smallest thing can eat up your space and not all of it you can control.

  • Give more love to smaller/new creators.

No start is easy, and it’s also the time when most people give up.

  • Comment more on posts.

I have been told I’m a ‘faker’ since I tend to only leave a like on a post. In my defence, I don’t always have the time or the ability in my hands to type.

  • Get back into my writing project.

When I finished Turning Paige, I had started another project, but 10 pages in, I gave up since I had requested some writing help and I didn’t get it.

  • Figure out what I want to do with Turning Paige

This one is simaller to the one above, a friend was suppose to help me edit it but it didn’t pen out (pun intended). Then I gave it to an author/editer to see if they want to work with me or for me but haven’t heard from them ethier way more than a year later.

I’m pretty sure I forgot some I wanted to add to the list, but these are the main ones. What are some of yours?

  1. Don’t worry about how many followers you have. Blog for fun. You’ll never make everyone happy, don’t even try. You’re a very good reviewer, give yourself credit. Do things in your own way at your own time and don’t worry about other people. It’s okay not to comment and those who tell you you should or your fake are people with their own problems that have nothing to do with you. Just let them go or ignore them. Seriously. Your blog is for you, just make yourself happy then others will be happy too and you’ll get the followers who love what you do, not people who are critical and bossy. No one needs those people.
