I wanted to make new graphics, but between working my last shift of 2025, coming home, and the dogs didn’t want to let go of me. I mean it literally, they both sat on me waiting for pets and to cuddle. They don’t realise they aren’t puppies anymore hehe. Anyway, my love language is books, so here are some free books I got to start the new year.

Raped. Beaten. Stabbed. Tied up. Left for dead.
Survival of the Silenced is not the story of how she broke it’s the story of how she refused to stay broken.
In this fictionalized memoir, Cinnamon Burdett rips open the silence of childhood abuse, cult control, and brutal violence and shows the raw, jagged fight to heal. This isn’t a neat survival story. It’s messy, bloody, and true, because trauma doesn’t line up cleanly, and neither did her life.
Through pages of brutality and resilience, you’ll walk with her from the night she was left for dead to the long fight of reclaiming her body, her voice, and her right to love and be loved.
This book will break your heart and hand it back, stitched together with defiance. It’s a raw, haunting reminder that survival is messy but possible. And sometimes, telling the story is the loudest rebellion there is.
If you’re a survivor of abuse, violence, cults, grief, or silence this book is for you. You are not alone. You are not broken.

Small town shenanigans. Enemies to lovers. One wildly inconvenient attraction.
Chloe Adams knows every creaky floorboard, wind-worn sign, and whispered secret in Bluepeak. Managing the lodge isn’t just a job. It’s her life. So when polished businessman Brody Stirling rolls into town with a sleek vision board and plans to buy the lodge and a scheme to turn Bluepeak glossy and profitable, Chloe tightens her ponytail, sharpens her sarcasm, and wants him gone. Roasting him in public? That’s just a bonus.
But Brody’s not just buying the lodge. He’s laying the groundwork to turn their quiet mountain town into a flashy tourist destination, cashing in along the way. To him, it’s progress. To Chloe? It’s a slow-motion disaster, peeling back the town’s soul one board at a time—and threatening life here as they know it.
Their very public face-off turns into a viral sensation, landing them at the center of town gossip, lingering side-eyes, and one extremely awkward truce. Between passive-aggressive planning sessions, forced proximity, and sparks they both pretend to ignore, things start getting complicated—fast.
In a town where everyone knows your name and grudges come with a side of cinnamon rolls, this feud might be one scandal away from something far more dangerous… like falling in love.

Noel Merrick has been awake for thirty-seven hours and is handling it *fine*.
Running Tinsel Town’s legendary Twelve Days of Magic festival should be a dream job. Instead, it’s a chaos parade of glitter explosions, rogue partridges, and a mayor who communicates exclusively in holiday metaphors. Noel doesn’t need help. He needs caffeine, a miracle, and maybe a good scream into the void.
What he gets is Eben Frost.
Cold. Competent. Clipboard-clutching. The logistics consultant the mayor hired without asking. Eben is everything Noel isn’t—controlled, organized, and infuriatingly calm in a crisis. He’s also the most attractive problem Noel has ever encountered.
Eben doesn’t do attachments. He does clean entries, efficient solutions, and cleaner exits. Twelve days. That’s all this is. Just long enough to fix the festival. Not nearly long enough to fix the way Noel Merrick looks at him like he’s something worth staying for.
But when a shared glitter emergency turns into an accidental partnership—and accidental touches start feeling way too intentional—”temporary” starts sounding like the biggest lie either of them has ever told.

Goodreads Blurb:
I Am Susan is a heartfelt keepsake book written for a woman whose strength has always been steady, dependable, and quietly life-shaping.
This book is not a biography, and it is not a generic poetry collection. It is a celebration of a name — and the many lives lived beneath it. Written specifically for women named Susan, this book honours motherhood, endurance, responsibility, love, and the unseen work that holds families together.
Across poems, reflections, short stories, and gentle affirmations, I Am Susan captures the character so often associated with the calm under pressure, reliable without applause, strong without noise. It speaks to the woman who showed up consistently, carried responsibility without complaint, and built stability through care, patience, and presence.
Some of these I can’t wait to get my eyes on the words.
Alex
Happy new reading year…:)
