I thought removing old content and monitoring storage would calm me down, but it’s not working. So, I’ve hidden that number again. If WordPress stops letting me blog, I will figure something out then. Right when I was about to tell you, my plan for this weekend was not to get books. Then I saw that some of my favourite authors posted some freebies, so I couldn’t say no. After a day at the hospital, I’m opting for the easy way out with a book tag. I decided to do an original with the Earth Elements Book Tag. I tried to make a cute graphic, but I didn’t manage, and now I’m running out of time.
Fire- Has so many twists that it can get mind-blowing

My first thought was to go with a thriller, but then this book came to mind, a book set in WW2 in the camps, where they had no clue what would happen next, but they had faith in each other.
Goodreads Blurb:
Auschwitz, 1943. I cradle my little sister’s feverish body and weep silently in the darkness. “I love you,” I whisper, “Remember, tomorrow we’re free.” And I know in my heart that whatever it takes, I will find a way out of here—for me, and for my sister…
At the imposing iron gates of Auschwitz, twenty-one-year-oldHodaya clings to her mama and papa, her little sister Bayla’s arms around her waist. But when Hodaya is sent one way and her parents the other, a plea to keep her sister safe is the last thing in her mother’s eyes. Hodaya makes a silent promise in return.
But Auschwitz is no place for a little girl, and keeping Bayla safe takes every ounce of Hodaya’s strength. She hates watching the spark in her little sister’s eyes dull, and as she hands over her daily rations of watery soup and stale bread to keep Bayla fed, she feels herself weakening by the second. But she vows to find a way out, even if it means sacrificing the young woman she once was.
Admiring the bravery of other prisoners’ revolts and imagining a world in which she joins in, Hodaya battles between her determination to save Bayla and mounting despair. But in the end, it’s the most unlikely person who reminds her to dare to Alaric, a German soldier. As desperate hunger closes in, Alaric draws a parcel of warm food from a satchel and offers it to Hodaya—his expression guarded, blue eyes troubled, but his hand steady.
But can Hodaya trust a stranger, particularly a German? And as sickness takes hold of Bayla, is it already too late to keep her promise to keep Bayla safe—or will the last ounce of hope in her heart lead to an escape from the darkest of places?
Air- A sweet and light read

It was short and sweet, perfect if you are waiting for something, it’s what I read at the hospital, but just be aware that it might trigger ‘closet’ feelings, as it did for me.
Goodreads Blurb:
Looking in the mirror….…. She smiled slightly; the insides still do not match the outsides. Someday I will be myself.
Her first party dressed as herself, and she dropped her bracelet when she left in a hurry. Of course, her crush is the one who found it. Now she has to get closer to him while trying to get it back. Will she find a way to tell him who she is?
A short story twist on the Cinderella trope with a transgender woman’s journey.
Water – A book with the sea/ocean as the main element

It’s a novella that will stay with me for a long time.
Goodreads Blurb:
When seventeen-year-old Grace Fisher’s family restaurant keeps flooding, everyone else sees disaster—but she sees possibility. Armed with months of coastal research and an unshakeable belief that science can save her community, Grace fights to prove that working with rising seas is better than fighting them. But convincing her traditional parents to trust her revolutionary ideas is nothing compared to navigating her growing feelings for River, the brilliant climate activist who sees Grace’s potential when no one else will. As storms intensify and time runs out, Grace must find the courage to defend her research, her relationship, and her vision of a future where love and science can change everything—one tide at a time.
Earth- A book where something or someone was brought back to life

Sometimes, the power of love can bring life to things.
Goodreads Blurb:
When skeptical botanist Dr. Isabella Reyes arrives in Willowbrook to survey their “impossible” gardens for a development corporation, she expects to debunk small-town folklore with hard science. Instead, she discovers Maya Thornfield—a enchanting flower shop owner whose gentle touch makes roses bloom in December and whose love could cost Isabella everything she’s worked for.
As Isabella falls deeper under the spell of both Maya and the town’s magical ecosystem, she must choose between her corporate career and protecting a community where plants respond to whispered encouragement and love literally makes flowers grow. But when Meridian Development threatens to destroy Willowbrook’s secret magic, Isabella and Maya must fight for their impossible love and the extraordinary world they’re determined to save.
