WWW Wednesdays #31

The biggest issue I’m facing as a content creator is running out of space on my blog, like a song you don’t want to end, but you know it will. I tried to reduce the image size in a bunch of posts, but that didn’t help the storage situation. Removing old content might work because I don’t want to stop blogging, but I might have to because I can’t afford to pay more for storage. On the bookish side, I’m doing pretty well, having read over 500 books, with 20 left on my TBR, and only one remaining from my last book haul. Sam’s currently hosting WWW Wednesday from Taking On A World of Words.

It’s 2005, and Ali is a publicist for Hollywood’s biggest stars. Part of her job entails keeping gay celebrities in the closet—which is pretty ironic, since she’s a lesbian herself. When Ali is assigned a new gay client, Cara Bisset, who’s breaking onto the scene with a (hetero) romantic blockbuster, keeping Cara’s sexuality under wraps becomes Ali’s biggest challenge yet.

Cara is unruly and unpredictable and hates that she has to hide such an integral aspect of her identity. After a series of increasingly close calls, Ali is sent on the worldwide promotional tour for the movie to help keep Cara in line. Instead, she finds herself drawn to Cara’s confidence and bravery. For the past year, Ali has been mired in grief after losing her partner in a freak accident. But with Cara, Ali’s fears about the world subside, and she begins to question the Hollywood closeting system she’s helped perpetuate.

As Cara’s fame continues to rise, both Ali and Cara have to decide which is more maintaining the status quo or risking it all for another chance at love.

Dr. Michael Hayes thought he had his life mapped out perfectly—until he met Alex Thompson during a grueling night shift at Metropolitan General Hospital. What begins as professional respect between a anxious resident and an experienced nurse quickly evolves into something deeper when a medical emergency forces them to work as partners in ways Michael never expected. As their late-night conversations turn into stolen moments of connection, Michael finds himself questioning everything he thought he knew about himself, love, and what it means to truly heal. In the sterile corridors where life and death decisions happen every day, two men discover that sometimes the most profound diagnosis is recognizing what your heart has been trying to tell you all along. When the monitors finally quiet and the shift ends, will Michael have the courage to embrace a love that could change everything?

Is a LGBTQ+ friendly dating app the answer to all of Penelope’s dating woes? Her ex-girlfriend turned asexual best friend and roommate sure thinks so. As she explores dating again, she gets the opportunity to MC a drag brunch, in full drag king regalia. For a long time, Penelope has suspected she might be nonbinary, but that feels like something she’ll sort out on her own eventually… right? The drag brunch is a smashing success, and she meets a beautiful woman in the audience named Taylor. They begin forming a deep connection in their queerness and Taylor supports her as she finally explores her gender identity. Penelope notices similarities between Riley and Taylor, in the way they think, the way they talk, and most importantly in the way they make her feel. What if the two people she’s falling for are more than just amazing, what if they’re her soul mate? Follow Penelope’s journey as she navigates the ups and downs of dating, self-discovery, and the search for love and acceptance in a hilariously complicated and ultimately satisfying, queer love story.

  1. Removing old content will more than likely help tremendously! I know it did for me. Go all the way back to the beginning and delete, delete, delete. Not just the posts, but also media… it’s a little time consuming at first, but worth it, especially if you want to keep blogging.
