I suppose I’ll start with my mental health for June; it was very up and down. My poem ‘Head Nose’ felt like it expressed it well, even if it might not make sense to some. I was technically on notice at my job, and I have three days left, so I feel I can share the good news while I was working in the public sector, I was sub-contractor so when vacancies opened for a position that the one, I’m in I gave it a go and I got hired. Don’t ask how I managed, but I did. Even if I’m trying to do for the better, change can be nerve-wracking.
Trying to participate in two readathons at once wasn’t smart of me, as I said in my TBR posts for them, I struggled with the non-bookish prompts. I didn’t feel like joining any reading sprints. The planned buddy read I had with Donna didn’t happen, but an unplanned one did. I believe I fulfilled all my original TBR, even if I swapped books. When I wake up at 3:00 am, I have been enjoying Eva Lovelle’s lesbian novellas, even if they aren’t as accessible to me since most don’t open on my laptop Kindle app. I got three more from her.
Just when I thought I had had enough of readathons, I saw the Tarot readathon, and I commented on the video that I would love to join. However, I know nothing about tarot cards, but people still encouraged me to join, and as you might remember, I have been looking for a readathon with teams, so I was sold. My main goal is to still read as much as I can from my current TBR. I have a few ideas for posts with book-related themes, but I’m concerned about my blog’s statistics.
