The house of Grandma
Bring a heap of good memories to most
Including most people in my family
I was taken there often
Yet it was clear that
My sister and I weren’t as welcomed
As some of my other cousins
Those who were showered with sweets
So that house holds a sense of unease

Well, it had nothing do do with you or your sister, it had everything to do with your grandmother. I can’t tell you how many stories I’ve heard that were like this. I don’t understand it, but it happens more than most people realize. I don’t know what’s wrong with people. Doesn’t make any sense. I’m really sorry that happened to you and your family, it’s just one more unnecessary thing.

I do everything I can to make sure my grandchild feels loved and welcomed in my home. I’m sorry your grandmother didn’t have that in her. It’s something I cannot understand.
