Before I go on an endless rant since today is to be a dairy entry-style post, I want to keep it real like I always do at the end of the day. My hands have been hurting for a few days, so to make it easier on myself, I’m on my phone, which helps in two ways: my hands need to move less to type, and my phone knows my style of writing, so words pop up the one con to writing on my phone is that is harder to pick my grammar and spelling mistakes if Grammarly doesn’t do it.
As I hinted/asked in my December wrap-up, I’m writing about the Christmas markets I visited. I was going to say it was about recreating experiences, but thinking about it, this was the first year I was able to enjoy this. Before I forget, I have a question for anyone who uses a wheelchair or pram. Does it feel that people love to be in the way, and they don’t move no matter how much you ask them to? I went to three, and my thoughts will be based on two categories: the ambience (am I the only one who thought that Christmas music is playing when you are in a Christmas market?) and the food which was available to me as a pescatarian. The first one I went to was in my hometown.

The only savoury food option was a carrot-glazed hotdog; it had a unique taste but wasn’t worth what we paid for it. Then, I had a Nutella crepe for dessert, which was yummy. We had a freezing cold temperature that day so it gave me a wintery vibe. I can’t remember which town the next one we went to was at. Unlike the one in my town, most stalls had affordable prices. I had a cheesy baked potato, and the seller thought the potato was small, so he gave me two, which was very sweet of them. As they say, save the best for last.

On boxing day, we went to Valletta, and let me tell you, there were so many magical lights, hence why pictures were taken. Plus, it was the first time that I had seen a Ferris wheel in person, and now I know why they call it Fairyland there. There was a variety of food I could pick from. I had pizza, which tasted heavenly, and for dessert, I had freshly fried doughnut holes with pistachio sauce on top. As soon as the seller gave up the doughnut holes, it started to rain more heavily, which is why I ran to the car. It felt like going back to my childhood. It was so much fun. If anything, this post was worth writing so that I could log in to this memory.
love the visuals and the story telling my friend- have an awesome 2025…may your hands fly painfree to pen your flow!!!!
