So, I woke up at 3 am simply to blog and look at emails with everyone’s content. As I was going back to bed, my mum said it was time to get ready, so after doing three posts, this is my last one for today. I promise you you will see this on my blog. Sorry for the amount of content that is out in one day. Last year, I did daily book reviews, but I’m not sure what happened; however, I struggled to blog, and doing book reviews on top of that was impossible. However, it’s good to be back so that I can connect with people that might not have a blog it also remind me of Bookstagram because I forget about it.
I do have a bit of a weird review style since I enjoy talking about my daily life with the books, which annoys some people, but it’s my way of doing things. Today, I have a poetry collection from my Christmas book haul. Poems for the Moon by J.R. Rogue is Adult, even if some pieces felt Young Adult to me since the way I read it gave the feeling that the author was talking to her younger self like the first time experiencing love in a way she hasn’t before.
That’s the beauty of poetry: the meaning changes based on the reader’s life and experiences. Some poetry looks simply written (for lack of a better word), but there is a lot more thought to it since everything has to be in sync to keep control of the image you are creating, and I lost that element here. The author says this is her lighter collection, even if it deals with some heavy topic here. I gave it four stars since, as I said in my Amazon review, I love women empowering other women. It’s the kind of book that better not be read in one sitting, even if it is a short one.
