I’m pretty aware that my content will be all over the place this week. That is because I’m writing on the idea as it comes to my mind, and some ideas aren’t working out like I wanted to share a list of book bloggers to follow, but before I can do that, I need to have that list myself, but I don’t right now, so such idea needs to go back to the bank. So, staying still in the hospital is a bad idea, since time doesn’t pass that way, and for some reason, I have a hard time listening to books in that environment. I’m making a list of movies to watch on Netflix, since that’s likely the source I will have available to me.

Feel My Voice, the movie title translated from Italian (Non abbiam bisogno di parole), is a 2026 release about Eletta Musso, age 16, who is the only hearing child of deaf parents, Caterina and Alessandro. They live with her brother, Francesco, on their donkey farm. We have some disability representation, which I always love to see.

I know zero about what Apex is about, but it’s set in the wilds of Australia and that it was released last month. Here are the lines from the plot that got me: While tandem climbing the Troll Wall in Norway, an adrenaline junkie couple, Sasha and her Australian boyfriend, Tommy, are caught in a storm. Tommy tells her that his lucky compass warns him their luck may have run out, so they decide to rappel back down. Doesn’t it sound like a page out of a true crime?

The last one on my list is The Life List, a movie I came across by chance. In a few words, it’s about a road trip connected by videos; the mother’s main character left her before she passed. Here are a few plot lines that explain it better than I did: After Alex’s mother, Elizabeth, dies of metastatic cancer, Alex finds out that in order to gain access to her inheritance, she must complete a list of life goals she came up with as a 13-year-old. This is explained through a series of videos her mom left. It was adapted from a novel by Lori Nelson Spielman, which I still have to read.
I picked just three since it should be a 2-day stay, and I still have my Kindle app with me if I’m in the mood for books.
