Hey Everyone
As you know, I’ve been trying a new thing for me, where I share a book I love and provide a free eBook link to it, if possible.
Before I start ranting about the book I picked for this week, I want to say that I felt more comfortable with my “Freebie Fridays” format for today, and also, I can’t believe this is my 6th post in one day, which my hands are mad about. The bookish gods are looking down on me because I told myself that if I don’t find this novel at the place where I get books, I won’t do this post.
In Peppermint Cookie Murder by Trixie Silvertale, we meet Cindy Claus, the daughter of Santa Claus, who wants to try life outside of the North Pole. Her father wasn’t a fan of this, but he agreed as long as she was joined by Artikoa, a magical arctic fox who knows about all the things on earth, just what Cindy might need. Sadly, Cindy soon finds herself in a pickle. Some people on Goodreads found the story cringey. I found it cute and gave it four stars, but I’m curious what you think.
First Lines:
The chorus of “O Come, All Ye Faithful” echoes from the peppermint-striped speaker next to my bed. Groaning, I pull a pillow over my head. With less than a week left until Christmas, my father pulls the reindeer reins tight. Not a single resident of our North Pole home may sleep past 5:00 a.m.

Goodreads Blurb:
When Santa’s daughter leaves the North Pole on a baking quest, will her sweet dreams turn fatally sour?
Cindy Claus is excited to open her own bakery. She’s determined to pursue her passion and have her holiday treats prove she’s more than a Yuletide heir. But before she can whisk up a success, her roommate is murdered and Cindy is the prime suspect.
With finding the real killer the only way to beat the rap, Cindy relies on the kindness of strangers and her father’s trusted arctic fox. But without a recipe for success in the unfamiliar human world, grilling the wrong suspects could put her behind bars…
Can Cindy sift out the clues before she’s done and dusted?
