I’m not sure if I will manage to read this post, but I will try. I read my Reindeer Readathon TBR, and the reason I haven’t submitted the points is that I wanted to submit books I rated higher, but it doesn’t look like that will happen, so I will use the books I have read. On the other hand, I’m pretty close to 30 holiday books, so I’m happy about that. Sam’s currently hosting WWW Wednesday from Taking On A World of Words.

When I first met Callum Reed, I thought he was one of the most handsome men I’d ever seen. Until he opened his mouth and ruined it all. Because the sexy-as-sin man dressed in a tailor-made suit is trying to steal my ranch from me. Okay, technically, he’s trying to buy it from me, but I’d rather swallow a fruitcake whole than watch someone turn this beloved place into a bunch of timeshares for the rich, destroying Christmas at Holley Ridge. The problem is that Callum Reed doesn’t give up easily, not when he stands to make millions off this property. So instead of walking away with his proverbial tail between his legs, he books a room at my inn for the Christmas season. The last thing I need during this time of year is a modern-day Grinch staying here. So I concoct a plan. Flood Callum with a tidal wave of holiday cheer, hoping he’ll flee in the face of too much festivity. The last thing I expect is for him to actually enjoy himself. Or volunteer to dress up as Santa for a group of foster kids. Or help me in my last-ditch effort to save Holley Ridge. As I start to get a glimpse beneath his gruff exterior, I can’t help but wonder if maybe there’s more to Callum Reed than meets the eye.

Sarah Garland, a retired homicide detective who’s gone through a painful divorce, seems to have found her peace at last, as a coffeeshop owner, in the sleepy (and freezing) small town of Snow Falls, Alaska. What she didn’t expect, was for her past life to catch up with her. Or, for her new life as a mystery writer to inspire a deadly killer to target her.
Yet, when the killer leaves a frightening clue-a creepy snowman, donning a leather jacket and eating a peppermint candy cane, left in front of her cabin-Sarah begins to suspect Conrad Spencer, the new detective in town, who is pursuing a murderer of his own. Soon, it becomes obvious that the sleuths would have to join forces, in order to catch the killer.
Sarah and Conrad must put their tragic pasts behind them and find out who’s after her…before the trail becomes frozen.
