Peanut Butter Lover National Day

This week, on my way to work, the radio host said that day was National Toast Day, so he shared facts about toast. If you know me, you know that I love learning stuff like that. The reason behind this post is my curiosity, like many posts like it. A few years ago, I read a memoir called Every Day Is a Holiday by George Mahood; the author would do something to celebrate the theme of the day. Not only did it have a lot of unique humour in it, but also lessons about life and the different cultures worldwide.

I found the sequel called Life’s a Beach, which I would like to read, especially since it is a self-published author. Today is the first of March, and I have found a few themes affiliated with today’s National Peanut Butter Lover Day. This led me to have questions, which I Googled and will share with you. From a business market article, I found out that the peanut industry is thought to be worth $8.6 billion by 2032.

How many peanuts are there in a jar of peanut butter?

There are typically 540 peanuts in a 12-ounce jar, which is way more than I thought.

How much does a single peanut weigh?

One shelled peanut weighs around 1 gram.

Which country consumes the most peanut butter in the world?

Many people like myself would have assumed that the title would be given to the USA, but I was wrong. After Googling and reading a study carried out in 2024, I found that China is the country eating the most peanut butter.
