Thoughts On The Hunger Games

Although I have watched the first two movies from the hunger games a few times, this is the first time I’m reading the books. I wasn’t planning to share my thoughts about this trilogy since everyone, and their mother knows about the hunger games, but I couldn’t resist. I have to say that I loved all the details that you get from the books. Like a bold picture of the world, they are living in.

A few years ago, I heard that the author came up with the idea for this world when she was watching tv and channel there were reality shows like the bachelor. Still, when you change the channel, you see people at war killing each other.

What pissed me off was that the game changers don’t care who dies as long as people do die. This, however, made me face reality when a country is at war a lot of innocence people die. The second book talks about arranged marriage and the sacrifice people do for the sake of keeping the family together.

The hunger games remind me of places like North Korea, where if you don’t fit in or obey the rules you’re harshly punished or even killed. I now understand all the hype about this series, and in my opinion, it is well deserved.

  1. Wow!! I so needed someone to write a review on these books. They’re classed as YA fiction and because I like my books to be deep, I was worried whether I would enjoy them or not. So so going to give these a shot now! Thank you
