My Top Five Trans Memoirs

I know that not everyone likes this type of post. However, I haven’t done a top 5 in a while, and it’s my way of giving you guy book recommends.

Being Jazz: My Life as a (Transgender) Teen

I remove my hat for Jazz because coming out as trans when you’re an adult is hell for most people due to transphobia, let alone coming out as a kid.

Trans Mission: My Quest to a Beard

Alex Bertie’s videos were there when I needed that represent the most. In reality, what Alex started to grow facial hair I remember I cried because it’s something I wanted and still want so bad.

Before I Had the Words: On Being a Transgender Young Adult

This book was a shock to the system because while I was reading this book, I became aware of how common gender-related crimes around the world.

I like how witty and funny Kate can be, and she does it in a way that gets the message to her readers in a smart way that feels light, but the message still gets out there.

Some Assembly Required: The Not-So-Secret Life of a Transgender Teen

I felt so in sync with Arin while reading about his life which gave me some in knowing that every trans person is unique.
