Keeping it on theme, I thought I would share and Google some of the movie and cinema lesser-known facts, questions I have and world records. My mum’s cousin moved to Canada to become an actor. In fact, he worked in some movies; his name was John Grima, and, to my shock, when I googled his name, IMDb listed the top 4 movies/series episodes he was known for, like Wrong Number and episodes of The Unforeseen. I, too, lived the phase of wanting to be an actor, but I was too shy for it. Anyway, let’s get to it.
What is the most famous phrase said in a movie?
This depends on the site doing the list, but one I saw often when I searched was “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn,” from Gone with the Wind.
What was the first movie ever made?
The first movie ever made is believed to be Une scène au jardin de Roundhay, the title translated in English being Roundhay Garden Scene, which was a short silent film.
What was the first film ever made in colour and sound?
It’s interesting to know that some black-and-white films had one or more scenes in colour, typically achieved by either tinting the film broadly with washes or baths of dyes or painstakingly hand-painting certain areas of each frame with transparent dyes. Like many, my answer to this question would have been the classic The Wizard of Oz, but I was wrong; it was A Visit to the Seaside, a British production.
Which was the most expensive movie ever made?
I haven’t looked this up, but my guess would be one of the Harry Potter movies. I was way off, since the answer is Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, with a production budget of around $490 million. However, this is a guess, since it is a sensitive topic in Hollywood.
The most-watched film of all time?
I might be the only human on earth who wouldn’t answer this one right, but just in case you need a hint, the movie soundtrack is My Heart Will Go On, that’s right, it isTitanic.
I hope this was as fun for you as it was for me to write.
