This is another easy post, similar to the one I posted yesterday, where I share some of my life and how I use my fantasy world. The same world that got me into trouble with teachers because it didn’t fit within the lines they drew for me. Hence, the thought of having to quit blogging sent me into a spiral. Anyway, I’m sharing some tools that inspire me. Maybe brainstorm in here.
My first go is my own life since I don’t know you, but no one day is the same for me, even if I’m doing the same thing. Has it ever happened to you that you want to write something, and one single word changes the meaning and mood of the whole thing? The golden writer’s tip is the three Ws: Who, where and when; some people add the how. We see and hear a lot, and the levels of how and what we know are different for all of us. It might be the creativity in us, but some elements are stored in our minds without us realising it. Afterwards, we tap into them when we need them.
In other forms, whenever I want to write, but there is a total blank, the curse of writer’s block, which does give a ton of emotions. Choose a random word and explore how its meaning can change over time, depending on the year or decade it is set in. For example, let’s take the word poetry. If put in the 1800s, when it comes to form, it will be in Old English and rhyming to perfection, while today, we have the freedom of free verse, so with time can basically change everything. If you have been following my Monday music post, you know that music inspires me, especially if it’s new to me. I have more, but I wasted too much time, so I need to post.
Very nice.
