Top Ten Tuesday / Bought/Borrowed Because…

April 7: Books I Bought/Borrowed Because… (Fill in the blank. You can do 10 books you bought for the same reason, i.e., pretty cover, recommended by a friend, blurbed by a favorite authors, etc. OR you could do a different reason for each pick.)

Dating a Cougar (Never Too Late, #1)

This book is the first e-book I ever read, I don’t know how I remember this, but I do. I got it on Amazon from free and it’s still free today, if you want to check out here.

Death Can Wait

I got this book in exchange for a review, and not only I remember what the book is about years later, but I remember where I was while I read it. In bed at my dad’s house.

Timoleon Vieta Come Home: A Sentimental Journey

I was gifted this book by my best friend the week I had to put my dog to sleep. So, I love-hate this book.

LGBTIQ Youth Activism: The past & the present A Seat at the Table

My friend got me these books and what he didn’t tell me was that some of the stories (non-fiction) are the life story of people that I know, so I was on one page and sad on the next because I was reading about the hardship they had to go through.

The Other Boy

First Lgbt+ book I read in 2018 and last book I bought in 2017.

The Definition of Normal: ...A Transgender Love Story

This book is another first for me, the first transgender main character I ever read.

Travelling Light: Poetry

The book that inspired me to write poetry.

Fight Club

A book that was a gift that I still don’t understand what it’s about.

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl

Last book I was given as a gift.

  1. The only book that I remember getting is “From the corner of his eyes” Dean Kootnz. It was the only thing I got for Christmas. It was the best thing ever!
