As you know, I have been trying this new thing for me where I tell you about a book I loved and share a free ebook link to that book if possible.
Why I picked this book?
It’s about an undocumented Canadian who fled to Canada after she was raped and got pregnant; her parents wanted her to abort while acting like it never happened. In the eyes of the parents, their daughter became the criminal instead of the victim because the man was a politician. It reminded me of the novel Land of the Cranes by Aida Salazar.
First Lines:
