I was waiting for Donna and Manda, the two hosts of readathin, to announce this round which will happen next February. I can never say no when these two hosts a readathon. They are not only my friends; they also read some fantastic books. Luckily, the aim here is to read as many books as possible from your current TBR. After a month of Be Sure-A-Thon, which I have to say was a success with 40 plus books read, I want to keep it going. I’m excited I haven’t seen the prompts yet.
What is Readathin?
Well, good question; Readathin is a readathon that Amanda from MANDA THE BIBLIO started a few years ago, actually back in 2017, and now, for the past few years, she has asked Donna to help run it.
Readathin is a month-long readathon that is held in February, May, August, and November every year.

Reading Prompts:
LGBTQIA+ // Read a book with a main character that identifies as LGBTQIA+

Goodreads Blurb:
Jack Reardon, former SAS soldier and current Australian Meta-State asset, has seen some messy battles. But “messy” takes on a whole new meaning when he finds himself tied to a chair in a torture shack, his cover blown wide open, all thanks to notorious killer-for-hire Ethan Blade.
Blade is everything Jack doesn’t believe in: remorseless, detached, lawless. Yet, Jack’s only chance to survive is to strike a bargain with the devil and join forces with Blade. As they trek across a hostile desert, Jack learns that Blade is much more than a dead-eyed killer—and harder to resist than he should be.
A year later, Jack is home and finally getting his life on track. Then Ethan Blade reappears and throws it all into chaos once more. It’s impossible to trust the assassin, especially when his presence casts doubts on Jack’s loyalty to his country, but Jack cannot ignore what Blade’s return means: the mess that brought them together is far from over, and Ethan might just bring back the piece of Jack’s soul he thought he’d lost forever.
FROM A SUB BOX OR RECENTLY BOUGHT // Read a book that you either got in a book subscription box or that you recently bought

Goodreads Blurb:
Spencer Crane thinks I’m a human tornado.
I think he’s a calendar app come to life.
While he schedules? I spin-out.
When I spontaneously combust? He overcompensates.
And this is why convincing my new boss to hire him is a completely brilliant idea.
You see, workplace romance is forbidden, but attraction between total opposites like Spencer and me is a non-issue.
I repeat: Non. Issue.
I only wish I hadn’t discovered Mr. Clark Kent Glasses is (secretly) scorchingly hot. Even worse, he’s funny and chivalrous, and shoving me straight out of my Tess the Mess comfort zone.
But we both need this job. Like, a lot. And if our boss catches wind of any fraternization, we’ll be fired. Not to mention my heart’s already at risk of being axed.
So when Spencer starts treating me like I’m a magnet and he’s a fistful of iron, I’ve got a tornado-sized problem on my hands.
Starting now, I’m doubling down. I absolutely cannot fall for Spencer Crane.
Even if my total opposite might be everything I need …
NEW TO YOU AUTHOR // Read a book from an author you’ve never read from before

Goodreads Blurb:
I started My New Life with a wild leap of faith and a screw driver in my back pocket. Turns out I needed a power tool arsenal…
Nancy Myers is having a hard time. She’s broken-hearted, homeless and unemployed. And she’s just turned forty. But Nancy has a secret weapon. Desperation.
Relying solely on her finely-honed ability to make stuff up as she goes along and the battery life of her cordless drill, she’s determined to make a fresh start (one that on no account features men of the falling-in-love-with variety).
After purchasing a rural property on a whim at the foot of the Southern Alps in New Zealand, Nancy attempts to settle into country life. She finds the vista of the mountains healing. She also finds a tall, dark and gumbooted stranger (who proves to be therapeutic in other ways).
But when she discovers her precious view is about to be taken away, Nancy faces a hard choice. Should she play saboteur to protect her own happiness, even if it means losing the man who just might possibly be the key to it?
Maybe her fresh start is actually a false start. Or maybe she’s learning a thing or two about how to be a kick-arse, self-reliant woman.
BOOK YOU MEANT TO READ IN 2022 // Read a book you meant to read in 2022, but didn’t get to

Goodreads Blurb:
Olivia Holland expected to be married and starting a family by the time she turned thirty. Instead, she lives in the condo next door to her best friend without even so much as a pet. It’s not as bad as it sounds, except on the nights that said best friend’s very active sex life keeps her awake with the noise of his head board slamming against their shared bedroom wall. Still, Ollie is her best friend in the entire world and living next to him has perks—a willing spider exterminator, furnace repairman, and computer guru.
Oliver Cucinelli has a problem. A gargantuan conundrum. He truly loves very few things in his complicated existence—his job, his family, and his best friend, Liv. He’s happy to do anything she asks of him, from killing miniscule spiders to repairing her laptop. Which is exactly how he discovers that she has a severe case of baby fever. Ollie always knew Liv would outgrow him one day. He never expected it to be so soon.
A night of neighbor-watching debauchery, an unfortunate misunderstanding with Oliver’s mom, and a healthy dose of panic later, Oliver comes up with the perfect solution to everyone’s problems.
He’ll put a bird in Olivia’s oven. By Thanksgiving
FAVORITE GENRE // Read a book in your favorite genre

Goodreads Blurb:
I’m going to be gone in a week. You’ll never hear from me again.”
Bonnie tilted up Natalie’s chin with one, manicured finger.
“Then let’s have some fun.”
Natalie Roche has made it. She has her life, her independence, and her rock-and-roll dream job: a talent manager in L.A., at the world’s largest music management firm.
But when Natalie’s grandmother dies and leaves her the family house in Appalachian Maryland, she has no choice but to trek her way back east and confront the past she’s worked so hard to escape. But luckily for her, family drama isn’t the only thing she finds in the mountains.
A luscious lawyer, a heartthrob handyman, a mediocre mom, and an absolute asshole of a half-brother… This road trip might be more than what she’d bargained for.
GRAPHIC NOVEL // Read a graphic novel (this includes graphic novels, manga, comics, webcomics, etc)

Goodreads Blurb:
Charlie didn’t think Nick could ever like him back, but now they’re officially boyfriends. Charlie’s beginning to feel ready to say those three little words: I love you.
Nick’s been feeling the same, but he’s got a lot on his mind – not least coming out to his dad, and the fact that Charlie might have an eating disorder.
As summer turns to autumn and a new school year begins, Charlie and Nick are about to learn a lot about what love means.
Heartstopper is about love, friendship, loyalty and mental illness. It encompasses all the small stories of Nick and Charlie’s lives that together make up something larger, which speaks to all of us.
TITLE BEGINS WITH F // Read a book that starts with the letter “F” (not counting A, The, etc)

Goodreads Blurb:
Felix
Things I expect to find at Gadleigh Castle:
– Rare stained glass, the subject of my dissertation.
– Peace and quiet, to finish said dissertation.
– An escape from the paparazzi swarming around my starlet mother’s latest blockbuster release.
Things I don’t expect to find:
– A hidden door leading to a secret room.
– The most gorgeous man I’ve ever set eyes on.
– Love.
Lio
Things I know are expected of me in life:
– One day soon I will become the King of Liorland.
– I will marry a nice woman who will become queen.
– I will provide heirs to my family’s monarchy.
Reasons that might be difficult
– I’m gay.
– I’m falling in love with Felix Wilde.
– He has no idea I’m royal.
While it can definitely be read on its own, Felix and the Prince is the second novel in the new Forever Wilde series about the huge Wilde family from Hobie, Texas, whose patriarchs aren’t above a little meddling if that’s what it takes to help their grandkids find true love. Beware: nekkid man parts touch. Let’s just say, Felix gets royally screwed in the very best way.
RANDOM WORD // Randomly generate a word and find a book that has that in the title. Here’s a random word generator

Goodreads Blurb:
When my manager assigns me the task of finding a new wake up call service for our CEO, I think, how hard can this be?
Answer: practically impossible. It turns out that no wake-up call company in the world will take him on as a client. They’ve all had enough of his surly personality.
So in an effort not to lose my job, I secretly start making the calls myself, every day at 4:30 am sharp. OMG yes you read that right—four freaking thirty in the morning.
Confession: I’m not the nicest wake-up-call girl at that hour. Hello! Who wakes up before the roosters are even crowing? Luckily he doesn’t seem to mind my get-your-ass-out-of-bed attitude.
Day by day we’re becoming closer, and the calls start turning hot, like pay-by-the-minute hot and oh-so-wild. Snuggled under the covers with the moonlight streaming in the windows, we divulge our secrets to each other, but the one thing that he can never find out is that the sexy vixen who wakes him up every morning is just the lowly assistant who wears frumpy dresses. I can only imagine his disappointment.
Now he wants to take me out on a date and he’s scouring Manhattan to find me. He’s an overachieving billionaire bent on a mission. How much longer can I keep up this charade?
My word was: Call
FEATURES A ROMANCE // Read a book that has a romance (it doesn’t have to be the main focus of the story, but has to be a kind of big part of the story)

Goodreads Blurb:
Even soaking wet, Harmony Rivers is about the most adorable woman I’ve ever laid eyes on. Too bad I already passed her off to my brother.
That’s what happens when I try to find a way around my meddling grandma’s crazy plans. No one gets the best of GeeBee!
Now Harmony is with my brother, the rockstar. And even though it’s a fake relationship, I don’t stand a chance of winning her back. Especially if she finds out I blew her off to begin with.
It’s possible Harmony likes me, but I have to keep my attraction hidden. Otherwise, my brother might not record her song on his album. I can’t risk revealing my true feelings when Harmony’s future success is on the line.
Self-control.
I must exercise self-control around Harmony.
And I absolutely, positively can’t ever kiss her again.
Especially when she’s trying out a new kissing technique from that how-to article…

Amazon Blurb:
Life on the competition circuit was fast-paced and exciting, but now Kellan is ready to settle down and stay in his own bed for longer than a week. Kellan thought he had it all figured out, except he didn’t figure in the sassy barista next door.
Molly saved every penny she had to buy the quirky coffee shop on the corner. Now her quiet little piece of heaven is being threatened by the grunting and yelling from the karate studio next door. Surely one doesn’t need to scream so much, right?
With Molly throwing down the gauntlet to quiet down or shut down, Kellan does the only thing he can do. Take off the sparring gloves, and show the barista just what Powerhouse Martial Arts is all about.
UNDER 300 PAGES // Read a book that has less than 300 pages (in any edition)

Goodreads Blurb:
Must Love Alligators (Boys of the Bayou)

Eggnog Makes Her Easy (Boys of the Big Easy)

MOOD READ // Read a book that you’re really in the mood to read

Goodreads Blurb:
Adopted at nine months, married off at seventeen, a mother by nineteen, and diagnosed with the severest form of bipolar disorder at twenty-three. LeeAnn Jefferies believed her dream of being a top model–of traveling the globe for fashion and its industries biggest names–was sealed behind the heavy doors of a fourth floor psychiatric ward. While her husband managed two small children and a full time job at home, LeeAnn underwent the brutality of electroconvulsive therapy, commonly known as shock treatments. And although many of her memories were stripped away, her dream remained.
Then one day, a light shone into the darkest places of her life and LeeAnn knew one thing for certain–she would see her dreams fulfilled. Soon thereafter, she ventured into the world of fashion modeling, eventually landing a contract with the world-famous Ford Modeling Agency.
But LeeAnn carried a secret. A stigma. Refusing to acknowledge her illness or to take medication, she walked a precarious tightrope that, in time, pitched. Eventually forced to resign, she challenged the stigma with ready fists and, in the process, found a new purpose: to open dialogue and to provide hope for the millions diagnosed with bipolar disorder. To prove, once and for all, that dreams are bigger than BD.
