Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by thatartsyreadergirl with a new topic every week.
December 6: Freebie
I think it would be cool to pick some wintery covers. We are in that season, after all. It can also serve as inspiration.

Goodreads Blurb:
How far would you go to secure the wedding of your dreams? Would you go to the extreme of hiring a homeless old woman from the local city streets to pretend to be the granny you never had, for the whole Christmas period? What if your only chance to pay for your nuptials meant you had to play host to a proper family Christmas. That meant you had to spin a web of secrets and lies without becoming tangled up and feeling trapped. Whilst having the best intentions at heart for everyone to simply have a wonderful Christmas time.
Esme is getting extra visitors to stay over this Christmas whether she likes it or not so her cup is full, pity it is not with mulled wine to help her through it. This of course will lead to a farcical and fabulously fun Yuletide yarn as it turns into a chaotic Christmas. The comedic situations in this fast-paced Christmas romp were to become the most stressful thing Esme could have imagined for a festive fiasco. Could Esme lose her own home, her fiancé and put the most precious person of all in peril as a result?

Goodreads Blurb:
Welcome back to Willoughby Close, with four new residents and happy endings to deliver…
Olivia James has always been happy running a tea shop and bakery in the Cotswold village of Wychwood-on-Lea, and helping her friends find their happily-ever-afters, topped by the perfect wedding cake. But as Christmas approaches, Olivia is home alone and questioning her choices while eating too many of her own specialty confections.
When Simon Blacklock, a handsome, whimsical stranger, breezes into her shop and buys a cupcake and then returns the next day and the day after, Olivia begins to dream. Can romance blossom amidst the sugar and flour? And after a lifetime of living on the side lines, is she brave enough to star in her own story?

Goodreads Blurb:
After fleeing her beloved small town five years ago, Julia Bailey is back to spend Christmas with her family. Returning is hard, but keeping the devastating secret about her late husband is even harder. Her place isn’t in Big Sky Country any longer…but the more time she spends with the irresistible Sheriff who saved her once before, and his adorable little daughter, the more Julia starts wishing she could let go of the past and start a new life.
Single dad and county Sheriff Chase Donovan had been secretly in love with his best friend’s wife for years. But after her traumatic loss he knew Julia needed to get away from Shadow Creek, even though helping her leave was the last thing he wanted to do. Now she’s home and he doesn’t intend to lose her a second time. Chase is going to prove to Julia just how good they can be together this Christmas…and forever.

Goodreads Blurb:
The top three reasons why I do not like Christmas are as follows:
1. It’s super cheesy.
2. Everyone drinks boiled red wine that tastes like air freshener and pretends they enjoy it.
3. Last year the man I was in love with decided that Christmas Day was a perfectly decent time to reveal that he did not feel the same way about me.
So you can see why, on Christmas Eve, it’s totally reasonable for me to just want to get home from work as soon as possible, close the curtains, eat my weight in noodles and watch horror movies until the whole thing is over.
My boss, Marcy, has other ideas. Her son Adam broke his leg ice-skating and now she needs me to accompany him on his last minute Christmas errands around Notting Hill where we live. It wouldn’t be half as bad if Adam wasn’t the most irritatingly confident, annoyingly enthusiastic Christmas-giddy man I’ve ever encountered. And, well, a whole lot sexier than I expected he’d be…

Goodreads Blurb:
Two days before Christmas, single mom Blythe Mason is stunned when her car is not at the mechanic’s shop where she dropped it off.
Her surprise soon gives way to panic when they figure out that an employee gave her car to the wrong person and it is now five hundred miles away. All the Christmas gifts that she’d carefully budgeted out for her children since July were in the trunk.
Zayden Crile can’t believe his employee made such a huge mistake. And of all people it had to be his former sister-in-law. She’s still upset that his brother ran off with the nurse, leaving her with two small children. She has struggled, and to make things a little easier Zayden takes care of her car as a favor. He certainly never intended to make a mistake which could ruin Christmas for his niece and nephew.
Forced to ride together to get her car, Blythe starts to see Zayden in a new light and realizes that maybe she married the wrong brother. Could one honest mistake patch a new family together?

Goodreads Blurb:
When a veterinarian traveling to a remote European village to volunteer at an animal shelter during the Christmas holidays gets an unexpected first-class upgrade, she meets a charming stranger in the airport lounge who may or may not be the country’s crown prince.
This sweet holiday royal romcom novella has Love Actually vibes, a baby sloth-loving Prince Charming, a snowy Christmas Eve at London’s Heathrow Airport and more!

Goodreads Blurb:
Maggie Coates is frustrated. Her longterm boyfriend, Dirk, recently moved to London to take a job she fears puts him out of her league. Despite the assurances of her best friend Renee, Maggie is convinced Dirk is slowly drifting away. All Maggie wants is to get married and settle down, but maybe Dirk has other ideas.
Convinced by Renee to make one last throw of the dice, Maggie books a romantic holiday for two in the quaint Scottish village of Hollydell. But will Dirk show up?
And if he doesn’t, what if there is a perfect man waiting for her among the Christmas magic of Hollydell’s snow-laden streets? What if Henry, the humble reindeer farmer with the kind smile, turns out to be the man of Maggie’s dreams?

Goodreads Blurb:
A Christmas she’ll remember forever…
Poppy is looking forward to spending her first Christmas in France at her boyfriend, Leo’s, Château. And as the snow falls softly around the dramatic castle, Poppy can’t think of anything more magical.
There are new traditions to discover, a cosy Christmas market to explore and best of all, a promise of secret treasure hunt from gorgeous Leo. Only family pressure and uncertainty about her future in France can threaten to cast a shadow over the holiday.
When the treasure hunt takes an unexpected turn Poppy knows for sure this is one Christmas she’ll remember forever.

Goodreads Blurb:
While promoting her next novel, a Christmas love story, author Riley Reynolds is caught off guard when she’s asked during a live national television interview how she can write about romance when she still hasn’t found “the one” herself. Scrambling for an answer, she quickly answers that she has had great love in her past and that love inspired her novels.
Little does she know that this one offhanded remark will turn her world upside down. Three of her ex-boyfriends see the interview, and each, believing she’s talking about him, shows up for her Christmas Camp book event at the Christmas Lake Lodge, determined to rewrite his happily-ever-after with her!
Over the festive weekend, Riley’s old boyfriends compete to win her heart, pulling out all the stops while planning the most romantic Christmas dates on the planet. Despite herself, Riley starts falling for each guy— again—but for different reasons. As Riley revisits each relationship and discovers more about herself, she embraces the magic of Christmas and finally finds true love and her own Christmas ever after…

Goodreads Blurb:
It’s September 1940 and the London Blitz has begun. For the four girls living at No. 13 Article Row, life must go on, despite the nightly bombing raids.
Underground employee, Agnes, is working round the clock to deal with the huge influx of people seeking safety in her station, while Dulcie is trying hard to make peace with her mother.
Nurse Sally returns to Liverpool and gets a shocking reminder of the past, but this is pushed from her mind when a dreadful accident occurs.
As Christmas approaches, her friend Tilly meets a handsome young American called Drew. Could he be the one to mend her broken heart?

I liked the one about the woman pretending to be a granny of someone. It makes me think about that movie Misses Doubtfire. There was a person pretending someone he is not. In general, I like books which could make me laugh because these are rare.
