The Christmas Songs Book Tag Blogmas Day 4

So, it’s that time of the year, and like it is tradition here, I do a Christmas book tag every Sunday in December. The original version is by Hailey In Bookland, but I prefer the questions I saw on Elle Unwrapping Words, so doing that instead. Here the tag is set around classic Christmas music; however, I have to be honest, I didn’t know some of them last year.

All I Want For Christmas Is You

A couple you can’t help but root for

I could read the chemistry between the two; even Shelby was a runaway bride from another guy.

Goodreads Blurb:

Hot billionaire asks me for a fake relationship. ✔ He doesn’t recognize me as the runaway bride he helped escape in Vegas two years ago. What happens when he does…

Once upon a time in Vegas, I left my groom at the altar in a twenty-four-hour discount wedding chapel. And ran away with my bridal bouquet — the most adorable Corgi puppy you’ve ever seen.

In a nearby casino a gorgeous stranger with blue-violet eyes helped me escape. An unforgettable stranger I’d been thinking about nonstop for the past two years, but never thought I’d see again.

Until his handsome Aussie in a studded leather collar found my little Corgi bitch in the park — irresistible, alone, and in heat..

Rachel needed Tristan to heal, and he needed her to do the same.

Goodreads Blurb:

Raised in the art of warfare, Former Navy SEAL, Tristan Jacobs, has always been a force to reckon with. Now that D.I.R.E. has successfully implemented his scientific enhancements, he’s a walking weapon. Unstoppable, as long as he stays focused. No relationships.

When ex-BUD/S teammate, Aidan Monroe, interrupts his long-awaited sabbatical to call in a favor, Tristan reluctantly fills the simple request: take out his sister’s fiancé.

One problem: Rachel Monroe – smokin’ hot, kind-hearted, and in desperate need of a protector. After the best sex of his life, Tristan’s afraid unstoppable is just a memory. Knowing Aidan’s temper, Tristan could be, too.

Rachel Monroe had a plan to help her mother. Her brother ruined everything when his gorgeous, super-agent friend teleported her to some forsaken island – and his bed. She’s drawn to him despite the fact he’s a professional agent, much like the people suspected of killing her father.

Now, his enemies have come to her small town, looking for vengeance. Have they found more than they bargained for? Or, does the past have its own retribution in mind?

The two friends are on a quest to find Nathalie’s savings from her partner; when they find him, things aren’t like they look, either.

Goodreads Blurb:

She’s secretly in love with him. His ex wants him back. Will he see what’s right in front of him before it’s too late?

Natalie Bloom slaved for years in kitchens to shore up her little sister’s pretense. But her lifelong dream of owning her own restaurant is finally within reach. So when her hunky business partner Luke skips town with her money, she grabs her friend and secret crush Max to help hunt him down in Costa Rica. Her mind is on saving her dream, but her heart wonders if this adventure will finally prove to Max that the only woman he needs is right beside him.

Max is recovering from a major accident that took his memory. He regained his thoughts but lost his fiance and his life as a travel journalist. Helping his dear friend Natalie is a welcome distraction but after his trauma, the last thing on his mind is love.

Natalie is determined to save her business if she can’t save her heart. Then she finds Luke. When he confesses the real reason he ran off with her money, Natalie’s heart twists into a hurricane of confusion.

With Luke’s arrival, Max realizes his feelings for Natalie may not be so platonic. Then Max’s ex-fiancé arrives with one agenda: to win him back.

I Believe in Father Christmas

A grumpy and/or cynical main character

Scarlett’s grandma sounds like a funny piece of work.

Goodreads Blurb:

Scarlett Jackson is anything but perfect. The first time she met famous chef and entrepreneur Guy Chapman, she set him on fire. As a result, she was blacklisted from every restaurant in New York City to the point where she couldn’t get hired at a taco stand. But she didn’t give up. She got busy. Now she’s running her own food truck and things are taking off. Except… through a mixture of impeccable timing and bad luck, she’s parking near Guy’s newest and most ambitious undertaking: restaurant row.

For Guy Chapman, everything must be perfect. His businesses, his food, his whole life. He has more on the line that just creating a culinary empire. There are people who rely on him, from employees to a sister who requires twenty-four-hour care. So when a plucky baker running an inconvenient food truck throws a wrench into his plans, he can’t just let it go.

When things start getting hot in both their kitchens, Guy and Scarlett have to decide what’s more important: winning the block, or winning each other’s hearts.

I feel that many of the bloggers I follow are taking a break, so I’m not sure who to tag.
