It’s October, so it’s the season for the creepy now; I’ve never been okay with horror and the supernatural world. As a kid, masks made me cry, and they still make me uncomfortable, so saying that I’m not a Halloween fan is an understatement. True crime shows are the only things I like that might be considered dark. So if you are like me, a true crime junkie, here are some of the series/documentaries on Netflix I recommend.
Sins of Our Mother:
Sins of Our Mother is the last one I watched, and it came out on September 14th of this year. Lori Vallow, from the outside, looked like a doting Wife and mother, but then something in her switched, and she became strictly religious. Her ex is killed, she and the kids are reported missing, and she is found, but the kids aren’t. If I had one sentence to describe this 3 episode series, it would be several crimes surrounded by a religious cult.
Don’t F**k with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer:
It all started when this video surfaced on the internet titled 1 boy 2 kittens. It was a gruesome video of a guy putting two kittens in a vacuum seal bag, and using the vacuum; he killed them. That guy was later identified as Luka Magnotta, and it was thanks to the people on the internet that he was captured and brought to justice. Like most serial killers, he started with killing animals and later on moved to humans.
Have you watched Sins of Our Mother or Don’t F**k with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer? If you did, I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
