July 26: Books From My Past Seasonal TBR Posts I STILL Haven’t Read (Submitted by Dedra @ A Book Wanderer)
While I’m happy to report that I read most of the books in my book hauls, I’m sure I didn’t read all the novels in my last one.

Amazon Blurb:

I’m not a fan of Christmas. I’m happy to stay up in my mountain cabin and let the silly season pass me by. But when a friend asks for a favor, I can’t say no. Now I’m stuck in my cabin during a snowstorm, trapped with the most beautiful man I’ve ever met—who can’t wait to get away. He just might break my heart when he goes.
Ravi
I’m racing to get home for the birth of my goddaughter when mechanical troubles force my plane’s emergency landing. There are no beds at the inn due to a horrendous storm, but a friend says she knows a guy who won’t mind putting me up until the bad weather passes. Now I’m trapped with that man, and I must decide if I stay, hiding from the rest of the world, or go and face my past to earn a shot at my happily ever after.

Amazon Blurb:
The plan: best friends Clio and Nicole take a fun road trip across Michigan to deliver the centerpieces to their friend Katie’s wedding, giving the groom’s cousin, August, a ride for the big day. Nicole planned everything, from borrowing her mom’s minivan, to hotel accommodations, and the perfect amount of sight-seeing along the way.
The reality: Nicole is having emergency surgery, Clio overslept, her car is way smaller than a minivan, and August turns out to be super hot.
The centerpieces? Enormous. The itinerary? Blurry at best. The chemistry with August? Unexpected, and very intriguing…
This is a road trip they’ll never forget.

Amazon Blurb:
Settling in for a routine day at the office in 1989, high school memories are the furthest thing from David Miller’s mind. But when an unexpected phone call interrupts the personal injury lawyer’s midafternoon slump, he is surprised to hear from Michael Eisenberg–a former debate partner who went on to become the US Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois.
But Michael isn’t just calling to chat. He’s working with the FBI on a high-stakes case: investigating the disappearance of a revolutionary government scientist–one whose bio-evolutionary research could turn Darwinism on its ear, and pose a threat to national security.
The main suspect? Cult leader Philip Montgomery, who happens to have a strong connection to David’s past.
If David hopes to help crack the case, the attorney has to delve into a sea of old memories, revisiting people and places left behind long ago. One such person is former best friend Benny Friedman, who has clearly gone off the deep end. Obsessed with the JFK assassination, he insists he has evidence that Oswald wasn’t acting alone.
But as David’s old memories continue to surface, a startling deception comes to light–uncovering the truth in a most unexpected way.

Amazon Blurb:
Attorney Sasha McCandless has one ambition: Make partner at the best firm in town. Then a plum assignment plunges her into a world of deceit and danger.
When a commercial flight crashes, killing everyone on board, she’s tapped to defend the airline. It’s her big chance—high-stakes litigation for an important client. But, as she digs into the evidence, people close to the case start to die.
She discovers the crash was intentional, part of a breathtakingly evil plan. Unsure if she can trust her colleagues with the horrifying truth, she teams up with a federal air marshal, and they race to prevent another airline disaster.
Soon, Sasha finds herself with a brand-new life goal: Stop a madman before he kills her.

Amazon Blurb:
Valet Xavier Lawrence hasn’t seen much of the world. So when his employer, the Duke of Selby, takes him along on a transatlantic voyage in pursuit of his missing son and heir, Xavier is thrilled with the opportunity. But the excitement over his first taste of salt air and the sea is nothing to the thrill of an opportunity for a secret affair.
Dancer Alexander Plushenko is on his way to New York to see his family, no idea whether they will accept him or not after a slip in St. James’s Park ended with him spending time in jail for Gross Indecency. The last thing he needs with all of that hanging over him is to meet the dashing and fresh-faced Xavier as soon as the ship leaves port.
Falling in love is easy, but conducting a steamy affair on a crowded ship with few places to hide is another thing entirely. And when more than just Xavier and Zander’s reputations end up at stake, and with a limited time together before the voyage ends, can the two men prevent a disaster and find a reason to stay together?

Amazon Blurb:
I came to Whispering Key from O’Leary as a career move. Mason Bloom, doctor to the stars at a swanky resort on a private island? Heck yes.
What I did not come for was romance, because I have been there, done that, have an ex-girlfriend to prove it, and frankly was distinctly underwhelmed by the whole endeavor.
Yet from the moment I set foot on this island, nothing goes the way I’d expected.
The resort’s falling apart. The island’s inhabitants are ridiculous… and ridiculously charming. The whole place is awash in stories of shipwrecks and treasure.
Then there’s Fenn Reardon: Gorgeous. Infuriating. Male.
And did I mention infuriating?
The man is the eye of the hurricane upending my life. He pushes every one of my buttons. He makes me feel crazy. Out of control. And more alive than I have ever felt before.
I find myself craving his company, longing for his touch, kissing him on the beach, wanting him in my bed… and questioning just how straight I really am.
Falling for Fenn was not in my plans… but I’m starting to think the key to happiness might be going off plan entirely.

Amazon Blurb:
Blue: When my ex walks into the resort bar with his new husband on his arm, I want nothing more than to prove to him that I’ve moved on. Thankfully, the sexy stranger sitting next to me is more than willing to share a few kisses in the name of revenge. It gets even better when those scorching kisses turn into a night of fiery passion.
The only problem? Turns out the stranger’s brother is marrying my sister later this week.
Tristan: I have one rule: no messing with the guests at my vineyard resort. Of course the one exception I make turns out to be my future brother-in-law. Now we’re stuck together for a week of wedding activities, and there’s no avoiding the heat burning between us.
So fine, we make a deal: one week. One week to enjoy each other’s bodies and get it out of our system. Once the bride and groom say I do and we become family, it’ll all be over between us. Right?

Amazon Blurb:
A mobster rescued me, and I rescued him right back.I should never have approached Remington’s car. I knew he was dangerous, but he needed help and I was sure he could pay well for it.When he offers me an astronomical sum to stay with him for two weeks, I can’t say no. Even then, I know when our time is up, I’ll wish we had forever. Remington cares for me like no man ever has, and I can’t help falling for him. But how could a crime boss be my Prince Charming or give me the fairytale happily ever after I’ve always dreamed of?

Goodreads Blurb:
When two young Amish men find love, will they risk losing everything?
Isaac knows his sinful desire for David is forbidden.
In the strict Amish settlement of Zebulon, Minnesota, every detail of life—down to the width of a hat brim—is dictated by God and the all-powerful rules of the community. There’s no rumspringa for exploration beyond the boundaries of their insular world. Isaac will soon have to officially join the church and take a wife, but he yearns for freedom.
He yearns for David.
When he becomes David’s carpentry apprentice, Isaac discovers he’s not alone in his longing. Passion ignites amid sweat and sawdust. Somehow, Isaac and David must reconcile their deepening love for each other with their commitment to faith, family, and community.
Now that they’ve found each other, are they willing to lose it all?

Goodreads Blurb:
A string of brutal murders. An international conspiracy that includes the highest seats of power. A ruthless, sadistic killer who’s intent on terrorizing women.
Peter Bolton is a spy, but he’s up for a career change. He makes Jack Reacher look like an amateur, and he’s saved the world more times than James Bond. But now Peter is ready to retire and live a normal life without underworld figures trying to kill him every day and without a cyanide capsule in his molar in case he gets caught.
Piper Landry walks out of the Redwood Forest of Northern California in the middle of the night with no memory and no clothes. She knows only two things. The first is that her name must be Piper Landry because that’s what’s written on a tag bolted to her ear. The other is that she’s richer than Midas.
When Peter and Piper meet, it’s fireworks. The two become instant partners, but soon Piper’s mysterious past gets in the way—not to mention the global conspiracy and the sadistic killer—and these new partners might have to save the world one more time.
Or two more times…
Partners in Crime by Elise Sax and A Forbidden Rumspringa by Keira Andrews are recent buys that I never hauled. They were free and sounded interesting, so I picked them up.
