When I tried to act feminine

The world told me

I was too masculine

When I started to live

As my real self

The world told me

I looked too female

To be a man

So, I guess

Being me

Is what will win

In the end

It has taken me a lifetime to come to terms with being non-binary, and yet, ironically, that is what I have always been…and accepting that has completely removed the need for me to feel that I need to pass–I don’t give a damn…I can just be as feminine as I want to be, and still engage with men and women as a gender-diverse person…and it feels great, and the energy I get back is mind-blowing
