I remember the day

As if it was yesterday

But in fact, 14 years have passed

When my mum brought in

This tiny puppy

When she heard that

No one wanted her

And was going to

Killed the next day

So she came home with her

Dad thought she was a toy

So tiny and still

Well, this is how

I remember meeting

My best friend of 13 years

And putting to rest

It is one of the hardest things

I had ever had to do

  1. It’s such a beautiful and heartfelt story how your mom saved her and how you got to know your best friend. I’m very sorry for your loss, losing a pet is losing a member of the family. My heart goes out to you. ❤️
