As you can see, this post goes hand in hand with yesterdays. I don’t have a specific why, but when I write your typical book review, I stay on the surface seeing only black and white. At the same time, I believe that every book has its grey areas. When I write in verse or poetry, it helps my thoughts come out.
On Fire

You can feel on fire
When your life is
Down to the wire
When life and its entire
Goes against
Your every desire
Money

Money is like a wave
That can make you
Its slave
But love, can your only save
That helps you be brave
So that the world
You are ready to face
A Known Stranger

When you see a stranger
They say
You are in danger
But what if
That stranger is someone you know
And you are unable to say no
When your friend
Is the one
That holds your heart
And the gun?
I went into this novel thinking it will be an easy read with some in your face writing. I think when I started to read between the lines, I got two meanings. The one you put on social media and the other is real life and how the two don’t match and can’t even be compared.
This novel just came out, and I feel that many can relate to it. Since most of us have had a friend who became a stranger. I rated She’s Too Pretty to Burn by Wendy Heard a 4 out of 5 stars. It might be just me, but I needed more chemistry between the two love interest.
