In 2021, I ready watched a few movies, mainly as a way to deal with anxiety. I mean, I had to figure out how to deal with my emotions in a healthier than just watching YouTube non-stop. Last November, I started watching Holding The Man with a friend since I had just read the book but haven’t gotten around to finish it until last month.
Holding The Man

It’s heartbreaking yet powerful. I mean, seeing two boys going against all odds for the sake of love. Reading and watching the guys’ lives gives a clear picture of how much they had to fight for the right to love. The way the LGBT+ community was affected at the hands of AIDS brings you close to tears.
To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You & To All the Boys: Always and Forever
I think all 3 movies are targeted at teens, so I wasn’t surprised to feel that part 2, as you can find on Netflix, was to blend for my taste. As bad as it sounds, I feel that I can’t relate to the first love and first breakup kind of deal, at least not at this point in my life. I’m not going to lie; I enjoyed part 3 the most.

We see the girls growing into young adults and get closer as sisters. We see Lara Jean caring about herself for once. She is on a self-discovery journey to understand better who she is and where she wants to go in her life.
I’m loving movie watching, so I hope you enjoy these kinds of posts because there might be a few alike in the future.
Thanks for stopping by,
Alex
I can’t relate to first love and first break-up stuff either. Of course, I was homeschooled so my social landscape was different.

I had two friends. Now they’re mostly my brother’s friends. 😛
