Read-a-thin is back! This is a readathon that takes place four times a year, in February, May, August and November. It started in 2017 and is a month-long. It is hosted by Amanda at A Court of Books and Love and Donna at Mom’s Book Collection.
The Challenges:
This round they are doing a spin the wheel, the wheel has 15 prompts, and you turn it to see which challenge you will do next. The wheel is here. I will go over each prompt and show you what I’m planning to read for each.
- Morning Reading
Read when you awake? No electronic’s to bug you.
This one will be harder to do because I tend to listen to a book while checking emails and stuff.
- Thin Book
Find a book that is under 250 or under
I’m going with, It Happened on Christmas Eve by Kirsty Greenwood, it’s a holiday novella and one of the shortest books on my TBR.

- Romance
Read a Romance book or has Romance in it.
This one is easy because my current TBR is full of romance for some reason. Picking Mind Reader by Kirsty McManus.

- Read 5 Books
Read at least 5 books.
I read about 31 books in January, and I was in a slump to read and write. It’s not the first time that I read/listen to 5 books in a day, but that depends on my mood.
- Flowers on the Cover
Read a book that has a flower or flowers on the cover.
Luckily I have He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not (The Flower Shop Sisters #2) by Iris Morland on my list with red flowers on the cover.

- Own Voices
Read a book that diverse characters that have been written by authors from that same diverse group.
Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas, The main character is trans, and I believe Alden is trans himself. I’m also hoping to buddy-read it with Ashmita from The Fictional Journal.

- Graphic Novels
Read a Graphic Novel.
For this one, I need recommendations, so leave them in the comments!
- Self Care Day
Take a day to care for yourself. I.E. Read with no electronics bugging you, Soak in a bath, Play a game, Sleep/Nap, Take a nature walk, Cuddle your spouse/kids/animal or book, Meditate, Workout/yoga. Anything that counts as you taking time for you.
- Fairytale Retelling
Read a book that represents a retelling. I.E. Beauty and the beast, Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet, Pride and Prejudice, Arabian Nights, The Count of Monte Cristo, Snow White and the Huntsman and so many more.
I picked this book from my kindle, The Queen of Gold and Straw (Fairy Tale Kingdoms #2) by Shari L. Tapscott.

- Random Word
Ask someone for a random word or use a random word generator and then finding a book with that word.
My friend from Indie Book Maven and she picked the word ‘happy’ for me. On that note, Some Sort of Happy (Happy Crazy Love #1) by Melanie Harlow.

- No Romance
Read a book with NO Romance in it.
For this prompt, I picked Dog Aliens 1: Raffle’s Name (Dog Aliens #1) by Cherise Kelley

- Red or Pink on the cover
Read a book with Red or Pink or both colours on the cover.
You Started a Blog – Now What….?: 6 Steps to Growing an Audience, Writing Viral Blog Posts & Monetizing your Blog (Beginner Internet Marketing Series Book 3) by Gundi Gabriell.

- Books and Love pick
Amanda has a dicord book club that is one of these prompts. Which is kinda a buddy read for this month. https://discord.gg/bzV8n5SZ
I still don’t know which book it will be.
- Love related title
Read a book or books with Love related title’s in it.
I have Coveting Love (Jessica Crawford #1) by Victoria Schwimley on my TBR.

- 3 word title
Read a book with a title that only has 3 words in it.
Maple Sugar Crush (An Autumnboro Sweet Romance #2) by Beth Labonte, as you know, I have wanted to read this book since I got it.
