In a couple of days, it will be 4 years since I came out as trans. If you read any of my transition posts, you would know that it took close to 3 years to start testosterone. One of the many reasons I couldn’t was l had liver issues. Someone years ago, sent me a link to an article about foods that have testosterone in them.
Here are 8 foods that help with your male hormones. When boosting your diet with Vitamin D and zinc is an excellent base since the two nutrients are precursors for making testosterone.
Tuna

Tuna is rich in vitamin D, which has been linked to a longer life and testosterone production. It’s also a heart-healthy, protein-rich food that’s low in calories. You can eat canned or fresh but personal I try to choose fresh to avoid additives. It’s interesting to know that one serving of tuna has a daily intake of vitamin D.
Low-fat milk with vitamin D and Fortified cereals

I never saw this on milk, but then again, I usually drink low- fat cow’s milk just to minimize cost. In lactose-free milk is more commonly fortified with vitamin D.
Egg yolks

I have to watch out when it comes to egg yolks because my cholesterol levels aren’t excellent. So, please be careful if you have similar issues.
Oysters and Shellfish

Since both are a good source of zinc and zinc is one of the precursor nutrients for making testosterone. Making it essential in a male’s diet, especially during puberty.
Beef

Red meats have a higher fat content, so it’s not ideal for you to eat it daily. However, beef liver is an excellent vitamin D source, while ground beef and chuck roast contain zinc.
Beans

Not only do beans have protein and fibre, many legumes, such as chickpeas, lentils, and baked beans, are all considered good sources of zinc. Of course, beans are also a vegetarian option.
I hope that this post helps some of you.
