When my family asks me what I want for Christmas, I don’t really give them an answer. Being unemployed, I didn’t give the gifts I wanted to give. I remember one year I asked for hugs instead of things. There was a book fair around her, and my sister phoned me with book titles, and if I didn’t know that title, she bought it. If she thought I would like that book. So, in reality, I should call this post ‘my sister chooses my books’.
I haven’t read any of the blurbs for these books, so I’m doing it now or maybe not. If you have been following me for a while, you know I like going into a book not knowing what it’s about. Between my mum and my sister, they got me 11 books.
Plus, knowing myself, I might have a free kindle book or two. By the way, from looking at the covers and what my sister told me. They all thrillers or mysteries since that tend to be a safe genre for me apart for LGBTQIA+ books.

For some reason, this book is giving me elements vibe.

I think this one is the book I’m picking up first since it’s the one I’m most looking forward to reading.

Not really sure about Snatched! by Graham Marks because it looks older and on Goodreads, it has a low rating, but I might be wrong.

Have you read any of these books?

I love book fairs. Yesterday I ran out of books to read, but book fairs are all canceled. 😦
My kids gave me vouchers this year for Christmas. I’ve used one so far: “4 hours of no fatuous remarks”. Great present. 🙂
