This book has been my favourite this whole year. I was worried that when I reread this, I wouldn’t love it as much as the first time I read it. Gabe was born as Liz. His love for music helped him be himself, Gabe. From bullying at school to his parents having a hard time accepting him. I can get Gabe 100% since I’ve been going through the same situation. I love how his fans support him. I could feel every single feeling that he was feeling and that’s very special for a reader and a transgender man like me. This reminds me that transphobic is real but so are real friends. By the way, the ‘mango’ that Gabe bought is now called a ‘packer’. I must say that I understand this book a lot more since I’m further in my transition. I gave five stars out of five. By the way, I hate the word transexual. I wish more people read this book since, it’s just amazing.
