Goodreads VS Blog Issue

I’m worried as most bloggers who use Goodreads I wanted to show what I’m reading on my blog. WordPress has a Goodreads widget. So I went ahead and added my Goodreads number because it asks you to do that, so I did, someone else’s books pop up. I don’t know what to do. I messaged both Goodreads and WordPress about this in the hopes to get some help. If any of you know what I did wrong and how to fix it, please let me know.

    1. Thankfully the goodreads website provides premade html code for you to use. Here is how to do it:
*go to account settings on goodread
      *widgets
*scroll down to custom widgets and select the parameters you want. Like which shelf and what information you want to provide
*copy the provided html (just below the parameter selection) and copy and paste into the widget on WordPress

You may have already done this but that is how I managed to get mine to work. Sorry if the instructions are too vague but hopefully you get what I’m trying to say
