A poem from my book

Dear mummy

From the time I was in your tummy

You protected me

No matter how worried because of me you were to be

When I was born you asked the doctor how is my baby?

You then asked him will she live and he said maybe

You had a choice

You chose to give me a voice

You healed me whenever at school they beating me bad

You stood near my hospital bed

Lots of life’s heartache

You had to take

No matter how much I let you down

You’re with me still now

You taught me all the way

And you not once turned me away
